Peer Review Process

SaiKarya: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat implements a rigorous review workflow to ensure the academic validity, societal impact, and methodological soundess of every published manuscript.

• Review Model: Double-Blind Peer Review. The identities of both authors and reviewers remain mutually concealed throughout the entire evaluation process.

• Initial Editorial Screening: Upon submission, the Managing Editor conducts an initial desk evaluation focusing on focus and scope alignment, adherence to the official template, completeness of documentation, and plagiarism detection via Turnitin (maximum similarity index of 20%). Manuscripts failing this stage are returned or rejected.

• Peer Review Evaluation: Manuscripts passing initial screening are assigned to at least two independent expert reviewers. Reviewers evaluate the paper based on practical novelty, partner problem urgency, implementation clarity, measurable community impact, and sustainability.

• Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief determines the final outcome:

  • Accept Submission (no revisions required).

  • Revisions Required (minor modifications needed before final acceptance).

  • Resubmit for Review (major revisions required, followed by a second round of review).

  • Decline Submission (manuscript rejected due to critical shortcomings or lack of impact).

• Timeline: The typical duration for the initial review round is 2 to 4 weeks. Authors granted revisions must submit their corrected files within 2 weeks of notification.
