Author Guidelines
SaiKarya: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat accepts original articles presenting community engagement activities, community empowerment, applied innovations, and practical implementations of science and technology. Manuscripts must be original works that have not been previously published or submitted concurrently to other journals.
1. General Submission Requirements

Language: Manuscripts may be written in good, standard Indonesian or academic English.

File Format: Submitted in Microsoft Word format (
.docor.docx). -
Paper Size: Standard A4 size with normal margins.

Page Length: Manuscript length should be between 6 and 15 pages.

Template Compliance: Manuscripts must strictly adhere to the official SaiKarya Journal Template.
2. Manuscript Structure
Articles should be organized systematically in the following order:

Title: Maximum 15 words, specific, concise, and reflective of the community service or empowerment program.

Author Details: Full name(s) of all authors without academic degrees, institutional affiliations, and the corresponding author's email address.

Abstract: Written in both Indonesian and English, not exceeding 200 words. It must concisely describe the background/community issue, target partners, methods of execution, key results/outputs, and community impact.

Keywords: 3 to 5 relevant words or phrases.

Introduction (Pendahuluan): Outlines the situation analysis of the community/partner, specific problems faced, relevant literature/state-of-the-art, and the objectives or solutions proposed.

Implementation Methods (Metode Pelaksanaan): Explains target partners, location, stages of implementation, mentoring/training methods, instruments, and evaluation procedures clearly.

Results and Discussion (Hasil dan Pembahasan): Describes the execution of activities, tangible outputs, changes or impacts achieved by the community, and evaluation of program sustainability, supported by relevant tables, diagrams, or documentation figures.

Conclusion (Kesimpulan): Summarizes the key achievements, measurable community benefits, and practical recommendations for future sustainability or program continuation.

Acknowledgment (Ucapan Terima Kasih): Optional section acknowledging funding bodies (e.g., LPPM Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Lampung, ministries), community partners, or supporting institutions.

References (Daftar Pustaka): Minimum 10 references, with at least 80% coming from primary scientific literature (peer-reviewed journals) published within the last 5 years.
3. Tables and Figures

Documentation & Figures: Activity photos, system diagrams, or flowcharts must be clear, high-resolution, centered, and truly informative (avoid generic snapshots).

Tables: Must use horizontal borders only, without vertical grid lines.

Captions: Table titles are placed above the table; figure captions are placed below the image.

In-Text Reference: All figures and tables must be explicitly referenced and discussed in the narrative text.
4. Citation and Referencing Style

Citation Style: Referencing must follow the APA 7th Edition (American Psychological Association) style.

Reference Manager: Authors are strongly advised to utilize reference management tools such as Mendeley or Zotero for accurate and consistent citations.
5. Publication Ethics and Plagiarism Screening

Plagiarism Threshold: The maximum allowed similarity index is 20%.

Screening Tool: All submissions are screened using Turnitin prior to review.

Licensing: Published articles are open-access and distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).
